Curiosity. As a kid, I'd chase planes in the garden, dreaming about the skies. It took several attempts – I even dreamed of becoming an airline pilot – but I finally found my place in general aviation.
(Laughs) I couldn't stop singing, "I'm flying alone. I'm flying alone." It was pure joy, a magical moment I’ll never forget.

Of course, I still have dreams to chase, but yes, in many ways, I've fulfilled my childhood dream. I got my BPL and all the ratings – tailwheel, aerobatics, UL license. I trained as a flight instructor, got my IFR in the U.S., and earned my mountain rating in Europe and seaplane rating. There was a lot. I took on everything within reach.
The thrill of discovering something new, getting better, that never ends. Alaska is top of my list – bush flying, seaplane flying, glacierlandings. I also want to compete more. I crave the challenge.
